Lesser Prairie Chicken proposed listing could affect projects

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service proposed listing the species under the act, reversing course from a decision agency officials made several years ago that left the bird's fate in the hands of conservation programs adopted by nonprofits and businesses.
